We spend BILLION$ of $$$ on prescriptions - best approach in an inside job!
That's right! Billion$ of dollar$ are spent on over the counter & prescribed medications - have you thought of starting with the inside?
This hits home for me since I spent years of taking heavy medications like Accutane and various other acne medications before I learned how to treat my skin and body with supplements and whole foods.
The foods you eat can have a major influence on the quality of your skin and I can't stress how true this is. Dairy is not my friend even though I love it but I get a lot of congestion in my skin and same with sugar & alcohol. (Aka all the fun stuff)
I've discovered that if I can stick to my 80/20 rule I can indulge and get away with it and not suffer like I have in the past. Basically if I eat well as in whole non processed foods then when I feel like pizza or cookies from Le Gourmand I can joyfully have my treats guilt free.
I absolutely understand there are things you can't eat your way out of BUT I've only seen the benefits of being conscious of what I put in my body.
Have you ever taken a good look at what processed items you're consuming? Anything that can be adjusted?
You'd be surprised what can make a difference :)
My skin super food smoothie that I blend in my vitamix daily:
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen berries
1/4 frozen avocado
3 stalks of celery
2 cups of fresh spinach
chunk of ginger
1/3 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup of Walnuts
2 x dates
1 tsp x hemp & chai seeds that I pre mix
1 x dessert spoon of apple cider vinegar
1 x dessert spoon collagen
1 x dessert spoon spirulina
1 x tsp cinnamon
This may seem like a lot but drink 1/2 in the am and the rest at 3pm when I'm craving something sweet. This has done wonders for my skin and body. It tastes amazing and just feels like health when I drink it.
Enjoy!
